Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend - OOTDs

Good Evening, Dear Readers!

I hope you've all had a great weekend! My weekend consisted of lots of laundry and lots of playoff hockey. My beloved Ducks may not playing, but it's still been an unbelievable postseason so far. All the series were split 1-1 after two games. So exciting!

I also got to squeeze in a little shopping with Carol this weekend, and we have a few fitting room reviews we'll be posting, later!

Anyway, just a quick couple OOTDs, before bed. It so happened that Carol and I both wore our Diamond-Stitch Skimmers today, which is super fun. We get to show two very different ways to wear these awesome shoes!

So here's my outfit that I wore for my godmother's 70th birthday party, which consisted of lots and lots of eating. 10 courses of Chinese banquet goodness called for an dress I could comfortably eat in.

Here's a detail pic of the back of the dress, which shows the awesome sash I love:

And another detail shot, of my Matrushka earrings which I love:

Dress: Matrushka Construction, Belted Blouse with Red Silkscreen Print and Raw Silk Belt
Earrings: Matrushka Construction
Shoes: Diamond Stitch Skimmers in Red, Anthropologie

I love my Matrushka dresses. They're so comfortable and flattering, and there's just something so cool about having a dress that's totally unique and handmade. If any of you happen to find yourselves in Silverlake, I highly recommend stopping by and checking out the dresses. You won't be disappointed! The owner and designer, Laura Howe, is usually on hand and can alter any dress specific to your measurements. Carol and I have posted about Matrushka Construction here and here.

Carol: Here's my OOTD - as Kathryn mentioned, we were able to do a little bit of shopping together yesterday! I went to Orange County to meet my sister at South Coast Plaza and she and I did a little bit of shopping, but she wasn't feeling well, so I felt bad asking her to go with me to the Newport Beach Anthropologie. I gave Kathryn a call, and whoohoo! She was only doing laundry and could meet me in about 25 minutes. Yay! While we were there, she gave me my birthday present a little early - an Anthropologie giftcard! Hahaha...needless to say, I used it right then and there, to buy the Flowers of Flowers Tank! So, here I am, in my early-birthday-present from Kathryn. Thanks, Katie!

Cardigan: H&M (fall 2009 - similar here and here)
Tank: Flowers of Flowers Tank, Anthropologie
Pants: Denim Minnie Pant, J. Crew
Shoes: Diamond Stitch Skimmers, Anthropologie
Necklace: H&M (in stores now - similar here and here)
