Giada for Target and the Reed Shirtdress!

Okay, so I'm outing myself as a total Anthropologie fan-girl (as if it wasn't obvious already).  The other night, I'm watching tv with my family, and what comes across the screen?  A Giada DeLaurentiis for Target commercial.  No biggy, right?  WRONG.  I wasn't really paying attention, because I'm not super excited about Giada, and I'm not super excited about cooking (much to my parents' dismay - but I have other strengths, honest!) but something caught my eye.

The Reed Shirtdress.  In orange.  On Giada.  In the Target ad.

Yep, that I did notice.  I love the Reed Shirtdress.  I actually own it in two colors (though not orange).  If you want to see the dress in action (it's all about the dress for me, here), click on the image above, which will link you to the video on Target's website.  The dress shows up at around 00:53 seconds.

Enjoy!

  1. She is always wearing Anthro. I almost died when I saw her in my Wisteria Cardigan. Mostly because I can't stand her. Her or Rachael Ray. They went on Iron Chef and needed real chefs to help them because they were just "cooks" and not "chefs." I have problem with that. Cooks can be chefs. And if they didn't think they could do Iron Chef on their own, why do they have TV shows trying to teach people to cook?! Sorry, I'll end my rant now.

On a side note, the Reed Shirtdress does look very good on her.

  2. My mom called me just to tell me to turn on the tv and watch that commercial. My husband is on love with Giada for some reason or another.

  3. Tien's right. Giada wears a lot of Anthro. Her husband, Todd, is/was a designer for Anthropologie. Don't ask me how I know this, but I clearly remember reading it or seeing it somewhere and then it all clicked and made sense why she wears it all the time.

  6. @ TIen, Pamela, and Anonymous - Wow, see, I SO don't pay attention to Giada, so I've never noticed her wardrobe before.

@everyone - Hahaha...man, to have a husband who's a designer for Anthro! Do you think she gets freebies (as if she needs it, with her own income) or just an amazing employee discount? ;)

  7. Yep! Her husband does design for Anthro! I remember reading it in Harper's Bazaar when she was on the cover about two years ago. I believe she helps design Anthro's aprons? Although I might be wrong about that...
