Hello, I'm an Anthro-Kim-oholic! (Quick OOTD and a Plug!)

Good morning, and Happy Tuesday!

I hope you're all well! So as it turns out, my darling and adorable mother-in-law has a blog. Yep, it's true. My mother-in-law has a blog. Actually, she has two. She's amazing. She has a busier social calendar than I do, yet she still finds the time to be, quite possibly, the greatest cook in the universe (no hyperbole, just the facts!) and she finds the time to blog, tend to her garden, take pictures, host dinner parties and be active in her church. Oh, and not to mention, attend all of her son's live shows. She even managed to attend our show at Alex's Bar in Long Beach on Mother's Day. (I'm still teasing my husband about that one...)

I swear, my in-laws are so much cooler than I am it's not even funny.

So please check out her blogs if you get a chance. One is an inspirational blog called Photo Quoto which features quotes from famous people imposed over beautiful pictures. She also has Our Daily Blossom, with photos taken from very own her garden paired with scripture. Check them out - she's fab!

Okee dokee, onto the OOTD. I can always count on Kim of Anthroholic to supply me with inspiration for an outfit.

(Wait - what's the difference between "inspiration" and straight "copying?")

Er. *awkward silence*

Anyway, Kim had a great post yesterday on how to style the Balletomane Tank three ways. Which is fantastic, because I'm lazy and not creative so I love nothing more than to rip off other people's ideas. Smileyface!

Here I am, in my interpretation of Kim's "Look #3 - Wear to Work"

Top: Balletomane Tank, Anthropologie
Cardigan: BP Three-Quarter Sleeve Jersey Cardigan in Oatmeal, Nordstrom
Pencil Skirt: United Colors of Benetton (similar here)
Shoes: JS by Jessica Simpson "Oscar"
Pearl Necklace: Brass Plum, Nordstrom (similar here)

Once again, a big shout out to Kim! Thank you for being so awesome!

  2. I love the color of that tank! I don't blame ya, Kim has some great ideas and if I had all these clothes, I'd straight up "copy" her as well. ;)

  3. Love the look :) I was going to re-create this look tomorrow too! My only problem is that I just wore my only real pencil skirt (Scalloped Sailor Skirt) today! I'll probably try it on tonight to see how it looks, but won't be able to wear it for awhile :( Either that or I need to get out and find myself another pencil skirt. I'm so glad Kim found a way to wear this tank with a skirt because I had zero ideas! That poor tank has been sitting in my closet begging me to come out and now it finally can :)
