"I Saw Cady Heron Wearing Army Pants and Flip Flops..." (OOTD)

"...so I bought army pants and flip flops."

Just a quick OOTD post before bed. Pardon the movie quote...I just love "Mean Girls."

It's almost embarrassing to admit how much I love Anthroholic Kim's outfits.

My outfit today is a shameless ripoff of tribute to her "mint chocolate chip" outfit here:

Blouse: Anthropologie Vanilla Bean Blouse (still some scattered in stores, on sale)
Sweater: J. Crew Jackie Cardigan in Bright Seaside (similar here and here and here)
Skirt: Michael Kors Ponte Knit Skirt (similar here and here)
Shoes: Steve Madden kitten heels (similar here and here and here)
Pearls: Forever 21 Multi-Beaded Necklace (similar here)
Tights: Nordstrom Opaque Tights

Confession: I even bought the pearls because I'd seen them on her and I liked them so much.

I can't help it - Kim looks so perfect all the time. And as previously discussed, I have no originality.

So thanks again, Kim! You're truly an inspiration!

(And I should really clarify that I didn't quote "Mean Girls" because I think Kim is a Plastic or anything. She's really the furthest thing from "mean." It's really just because I like the movie, and sometimes I feel like that girl who bought army pants and flip flops because she'd seen them on Lindsay Lohan.)

Also, please forgive the abundance of weeds in my patio. I promise I'll get to those...sometime. I just prefer natural lighting to the warm Tungsten lighting of my living room.

After the second confirmation I received from the Newport Beach Anthropologie regarding next Tuesday's "Tag Sale," I'm already starting my wishlist. I'm reeeeeaaaaally lusting after the Blooming Lattice Cardigan after seeing it on Anthrosdottir. Something about that navy color makes me so happy, and I've already formulated half a dozen outfits I could wear it with.

To quote Mal from "Serenity," "I aim to misbehave."

What's on your wishlist?

  5. Love this combo on you Kathryn, you pull it off very well!

Shira - you would look awesome in this combo too - and speaking of copying, I totally bought those black leaf earrings from Oh Hello Friend! because you rocked them, girl!

And Kathryn - did you just quote Serenity? OMG, if you own the Buffy, Angel and Veronica Mars DVD's, I might just have to dump my husband and marry you.
