Wow...Who Knew? (Just some random craziness and a New Giveaway Winner)

First, I wanted to say "Hi!"  And, "It was really nice meeting you!" to two readers, JCrewPhD and Cindy, who I ran into at the Newport Beach Fashion Island on Tuesday.

Second, I want to say, "Wow!  Congratulations!!!" to Tara B. (she got engaged!).

Then, I wanted to thank Melindaa for giving us the heads-up about Erik Nordstrom (President, Nordstrom, Inc.)  reading one of our blog posts out loud at yesterday's annual Shareholders Meeting (totally awesome and really kind of funny to hear him reading my words - the webcast for the meeting is online, and of course I had to track it down and listen to it. In case you wanted to hear it, it starts at about 57 minutes.  I registered as a "customer" to get access.)

And speaking of Nordstrom - I know we're just getting over the Anthro sale, but Nordstrom is having their Half-Yearly Sale for Women and Children, starting next Wednesday, May 26th.  If you were let down by Anthropologie's big sale and didn't spend your pocket money there, you might want to trot over to Nordy's, to see what they've got lined up.  This is a great one - as Kelly likes to say, it's a "Buy it now, wear it now" sale, meaning you  don't have to wait to wear this stuff (as you do with the Anniversary Sale).

So, as many of you know, last month, we did a birthday giveaway and drew a winner.  Unfortunately, that winner never contacted us, so Kathryn and I decided we'd go ahead and draw a new winner.  So, the new winner is:

Robin!!!

Robin, please email Kathryn at Kathryn[dot]prettythings[at]gmail[dot]com to get your prize, and congratulations!  (Just a note, my print screen function doesn't seem to be working correctly, so until I get it figured out so I can post the image of the random number generator, it drew number 14 out of these entries).

  6. Hi,
It was really nice meeting both Carol and Kathryn. I fell in love with the baby Kate the moment she gave me her shy smile. Kate baby is a doll. Love Love Love the baby!. But I just look, I know how hard it is to take care of a baby. I admire Carol how you blog and take care of your beautiful family at the same time.
I am so excited for you about the Nordy's conference.

  7. It really was awesome to meet you in person! It really was the highlight of my trip to Anthro. :-)
Your baby girl is so cute. ^_^
I didn't talk much cause I was kind of nervous and didn't know what to say... Haha...

I also read your Nordstrom post. Wow, a lot of things I didn't know. I'm also excited for the mention of this blog by Nordstrom's President.
