Comfy Cozy OOTD

Some days, you just want to be snug and warm. Barring staying in your pjs, under the covers in bed, there's nothing like a long cardi and a cozy scarf to make you feel comfy and content.

Sweater: Hooded cardigan, AE Outfitters (old - 2008? Similar here and here.)
Shirt: H&M turtleneck (2009; similar here and here and here)
Jeans: AG Angelina Petite Bootcut Jeans (available here and here)
Boots: Apepazza Martin Boots (2009; similar here and here and here)
Scarf: Echo Infinity Scarf (similar available here and here)
Necklace: Pocket Watch Necklace, Oh Hello Friend
Ring: Pave Butterfly Ring, Nordstrom (2010; similar here and different, but wow, I love it: here)

My sister got me this infinity scarf for Christmas - I love it! Instant styling, which is terrific for me, as I only know how to do one thing with a scarf (fold in half, drape around the neck, then pull the loose ends through the looped end) without half-strangling myself. Also, I haven't worn this sweater since early 2008, because in the latter part of that year, I got pregnant with Kate and ballooned quickly (the second pregnancy has a tendency to show up on your body faster than the first one). I'd actually considered tossing it into the donation pile a couple different times, when I was cleaning out my closet, but it was always saved at the last moment by last minute indecision and it's comfy-ness. I'm glad I kept it. It's as soft as I remembered it. ^_^

Hope your Wednesday is getting along famously! (Haha, sorry, I have an awful habit of mixing outdated Anglicisms into my speech - Kathryn has quite the list of odd things I say...). Don't forget to enter the Shoe-La-La & Zappos Giftcard Giveaway, if you haven't already.

  1. Ah you look so snug Carol, great boots as well! Are you taking these pictures yourself with a remote or taking your DH with you to get some snaps? Either way these are my favourite so far with your new tripod - I think b/c of the purple and brown tones against the leaves and grass :)

Isn't it fun rediscover something you thought you didn't want anymore but suddenly find it to be just the perfect item!?

  10. I love your outfit today. Boyfriend cardigans are always cozy. So are tall boots. Together I think they create a "cozy chic" look.

  11. I need an infinity scarf now! I'm kind of getting sick of the old fold in half and loop around scarves. You look great Carol, and the outdoor photos suit you well :)
