Signs of Spring (OOTDs)

Hi, everyone! Hoping you're all doing well. Sorry for the scant and sporadic posting, this past week. I was at a work-related conference in Lake Arrowhead for a few days, and had some sketchy and inconsistent internet access. Not only was I unable to get online very much, the hours were intense, with the conference days starting at 7 AM and ending at or close to 8 PM each day. I don't think I've ever had quite so much coffee a day...well, ever.

Anyway, it's good to be home again, and even more fantastic that the weather is finally warm. When I first tried on this Alice + Olivia Abbie dress, Maya said to me, "When it gets warmer, you'll be able to wear it with your Givenchy sandals!" I've been waiting and waiting for it to get warm enough, and while the summerized version of this dress is not as work-appropriate as the winterized version (way too much leg showing!) I really loved wearing this outfit.

Hi all!

Sorry I've been MIA, I've really had a lot going on lately! Anyway, I thought I'd just chirp one of my recent OOTDs. One of the fun parts of my job is getting to attend little shows to preview new Hello Kitty merchandise that will be coming out, and I thought...what could me more appropriate for a Hello Kitty "party" than pastel pink and ruffles?

Dress: Tracy Feith for Target Dress (similar here and here and if you have a million dollars: here)
Sweater: Jackie Cardigan, J. Crew (similar here and my favorite g0-to Nordstrom BP version here)
Necklace: Oh, Hello Friend (similar here)

Oh - we have some exciting news for those of you who are local to San Diego and Southern California! We've looked at and tallied the numbers for each of the suggested days in June, and we've settled on June 12th!

Thanks, Natalie! I bought this dress in late February/early March, so it was probably one of those super-early spring season items, because um...it's SO not a winter dress. =) I "winterized" it with tights and a sweater, a couple months ago.

I'm totally looking forward to meeting you! So glad you're going to be able to make it!

Haha, good eye, good eye! Yes, it was meant to be 8 PM (and is now corrected, thanks to you!). Yeah, 25 hours straight - I would have started a twitter-facilitated uprising. ^_-

Thanks! So glad you're going to be able to come! No, as far as I know, there won't be a cap on attendance. I suppose the only restriction will be the fire marshal's capacity limits for the store, but I'm fairly certain we'll be safely under that. Looking forward to meeting you!

  22. Both of you look positively springy and gorgeous! I think Carol can totally pull off that length with her great gams! And Kathryn's dress is really adorable. Wish I could come to your fashion event!

  23. You both look so lovely! I wanted to say thank you thank you for the inspiration, I'm a short gal today wearing my very pretty maxi dress (Lucky brand, via buffalo exchange) that does indeed pool and, you know, I love it! I would never have thought to get it without reading your wonderful blog.
