If We Had a Billion Dollars (daydream wishlists)

If we had a billion dollars - or maybe an amount close to that of the national debt to spend - undoubtedly, we'd do a lot of good and noble things with it. I, for instance, would work on getting everyone, everywhere, access to clean water. And then I'd move onto things like feeding hungry children, and building schools for girls, where girls are usually not allowed to go to school, and maybe helping impoverished communities develop their infrastructures - roads and sanitation and electricity and plumbing - all designed with sustainability in mind, of course. Kathryn would invest heavily in research towards curing diseases like Alzheimer's and cancer. She'd also work on putting the money towards education - especially for the arts. But once all that hard work was done, it'd be okay to use just a teeny bit of that on some pretty things, right? Lately, Kathryn and I have been inordinately, erm, inspired by various brands and designers that are pretty much totally not within the scope of our budgets. So, to get it off our chests and just for fun, we decided to create our fantasty wishlists - the wishlists we daydream about, because we can:

If-Carol-Had-A-Billion-Dollars Wishlist:
1. Kate Spade "Kati" Beaded Cardigan (you've seen this one in a previous post)
2. Kate Spade "Lillith" Stripe Skirt (yep, this one too)
3. Kate Spade Two by Two Dana Dress (and this one)
4. Kate Spade Terrazo Aubrey Wrap Dress (you know, just for good measure)
5. Burberry Trench Coat (because they're just perfect)
6. Miu Miu Scrunch Patent Leather Ballet Flats (actually incredibly cute on. Yes, I did try them on. Did I mention they're incredibly cute?)

Oh, but I haven't shown you these "exclusive to Neiman Marcus" See by Chloe things yet (these are seriously killing me - and it's worse because it's not even fall yet, and these are definitely "pre-fall" items):

7. See by Chloe Ankle Bow Bootie (sigh...it just gets worse)
8. See by Chloe Clara's Day Bag (gah! Adorable!)
9. See by Chloe Bow Crossbody Bag (because everyone needs a little sparkle sometimes)

And you know, because I've been wanting a little black dress, and I got to meet this designer once:

10. Jason Wu Ricki Bead-Neck Faille Dress

Greetings, Earthlings! Well, my "If I Had a Billion Dollars" wishlist is kind of all over the place. Many of these...well, actually all of these items are items that have been kicking around in the back of my head in that whole, "If only..." category for years. Really. Years. But what kicked off the inspiration to show you my list was the item at #1, that I just fell in love with last night. So without further ado...

If-Kathryn-Had-A-Billion-Dollars Wishlist
1. Herve Leger Cap-Sleeve Bandage Dress in Petal Pink (review coming soon)
2. Marc Jacobs Quilted Stam
3. Burberry Long Double-Breasted Trench Coat
4. Christian Louboutin Simple Pump
5. Valentino Crystal Bow Satin D'Orsay Pump
6. Gucci Belt Bag (it's embarrassing to [A] admit I want one of these, [B] admit how long I've wanted one of these
7. Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM (can't link to this, but I love huge totes)

...and since you know I can't get through any post without mentioning hockey at least once:

8. Anaheim Ducks Authentic 3rd Jersey

So there you have it. The things I'd buy, if I had more than a billion dollars. I'll be honest - I'd probably splurge on at least a couple of these items if I had a million dollars...but, you know. Carol already wrote a post called "If I Had a Million Dollars," so we had to change it up somehow. ^_- I'll leave off today with a song to go with our wishlists. It helps that I'm obsessed with all things Canadian these days, so this song came to mind pretty quickly. Seriously, I should go back through my post and add the letter "u" to words like "color" and "favorite" just to stay all Canadian-themed...

  1. Kathryn, I think you must be a true Canadian-separated-at-birth!

I love/hate you guys for posting these lovelies- I can't wait to see that pale-pink bandage dress (since Carol has already teased us with her Kate Spade crushes)...

The Chloe Bow Crossbody Bag is so, so, so cute! I think I'll have to add it to my list of things to one day buy too!

And I love that song. "Not a real green dress--that's cruel!"
