Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a good week so far.Mine's been pretty busy, and doesn't show any signs of letting up, 'til the weekend at least.
I'm heading up to San Francisco tonight, for work, and will be there for a couple days. I'm looking forward to it, but am also dreading being away from the kids - especially Kate, who's never been away from me for so long. Anyway, I'm not really sure how much free time I'll have while I'm there, but from what I hear, my hotel is situated pretty close to an Anthropologie, so that's a positive. ^_- I'm hoping it'll carry shoes - I'd love to get an in-person peek at some of the fall offerings.
I just acquired this Ports 1961 blouse from Gilt Groupe, and I love it. I can already see it paired with quite a few things in my closet - dark trouser jeans, a midi skirt, skinny jeans, pencil skirts, slacks, etc. I was only going to try it on today for fit, but saw that (surprisingly) its darker colors worked well with the brighter blue of the Circle the Globe Skirt, so I decided to go ahead and assemble an entire outfit. To be honest, it was a little warm to keep it on - it's a pretty heavy silk top, lined in more silk, so I started to heat up in it pretty quickly, without the A/C on. It came off shortly after I took these photos, but I can't wait 'til the weather cools down just a touch, so I can actually wear it for a whole day. Hey, maybe I'll take it up to the bay area with me. I hear it's about 10 degrees cooler there, than here in San Diego.
And...this is where I should come up with some cute, pithy quip or interesting and insightful something-or-other to close out this otherwise uneventful post, but I gotta tell ya, I've got nothing. Zip, nada, zilch, zero. Totally and completely uninspired. =P
Apologies everyone - suffice it to say, I hope you're all having a fantastic day and I'll check in with you again soon. Thanks for reading!
love the blouse on you Carol. The Anthro in Union Square carries shoes (assuming that's where your hotel is). Have a great trip!
ReplyDeleteHave fun in SF Carol. The SF Anthro has 3 levels, plus shoes and a great staff. It is across the street from the Westfield shopping center-which houses a huge Nordstrom and tons of great stores. I know you'll miss you kids like crazy, but hopefully the trip will go quickly and you'll be able to enjoy yourself a bit and rest up for a weekend full of mommy-time.
ReplyDeleteI was just at the SF Anthro a couple of weeks ago, great store. You can't miss the gigantic Golden Gate Bridge made out of Rice-A-Roni boxes. So cool!
ReplyDeleteI love the anthro in union square! have a good time.
