On the other hand, I spent a very productive day getting the rest of my holiday shopping done. Now just to wrap. And prepare some home-made goodies.
Also, thanks to those of you who weighed in on all of my fitting-room tweets today. That Rachel Zoe Nico Dress (see photo below) is so fantastic. I tried it on, at Kathryn's behest, to see "what it looks like on a real person." If you're interested in it, take note that it definitely runs small, compared to Anthro and J. Crew sizes - no vanity-sizing going on here. I was wearing a size 2 in that photo, and it felt snug (but in a good way, since really, no one wants to be wearing a strapless dress that's too big...). I love the dress, but have nowhere to wear it. Except Target. And the grocery store. I want it regardless:
Can I borrow someone's glamorous party-filled (and I'm not talking the kind that comes with bounce-houses and over-sugared 6 year olds, thanks - got that covered already) life for just a day? Just so I can have an excuse to wear something like this?
No? Thought not. But if you change your mind, you know where to find me: in the Nordstrom fitting room, hanging out in my new favorite dress. ^_-

Wow! That dress is fantastic and looks like it was made for you
ReplyDeleteDefinitely know how the side shot days go! Regardless, you look great and those pants are fantastic. And holy whoa... that dress!!!!
ReplyDeleteahh, I love that RZ dress! It's so flattering on you.
ReplyDeleteHi, Carol:
ReplyDeleteDid you receive the leopard-print sidewalk skimmer from Madewell? I ordered mine after reading your post the other day and they came in the mail. But I am not sure about the fit. It looks really cute on, but a little wide in the middle. So when you walk, it kind of opens up a gap in there. It stays on well and is well padded. So I am kind of debating wether I should keep them. How does this black Tory Burch fit you?
Yeah, that dress is fabulous. I wish I had more places to go to wear such a lovely piece.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is an amazing dress!! And I know what you mean about not having somewhere to wear it. Although, I am trying to re-style my wedding dress for casual wear.
ReplyDeleteit's sooo beautiful on you too!
ReplyDeleteYour ootd is adorable and that dress is drop dead gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable dress! I can totally see that being a short wedding/reception dress :)
ReplyDeletethat is such an adorable dress on you! we were thinking the exact same colour palette recently for outfits too haha. happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Happy holidays to you too! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! In fact, Maya and I noted (as we're both married already), that it'd be terrific for a renewal of vows. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jess! And I LOVE the dress. (I kinda really want the dress. Maybe I WILL just go to Target in it...)
ReplyDeleteThank you! You're too sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Jenn - that sounds amazing (restyling your wedding dress)! I never considered trying that with mine, though...I don't think it's really conducive for it, to be honest. Haha, I hope if you do yours, you'll share it with us.
ReplyDeleteMe too. It's the lament of my life.
ReplyDeleteHi - no, I haven't received them yet. My order said mine were backordered 'til January. The TB flats fit pretty snugly and stay on well - no gaping in the middle when I walk, or anything like that. At least, no more than is normal, anyway. They're patent though, and a bit stiff, so they've been murder on my feet (at the heel mostly) whenever I've had to do any long stretches of walking, and will take some breaking in before they become really comfortable. I love the way they look though. And they do have a bit of padding in the sole though, so that's helpful. Thanks for letting me know about the Madewell flats though. I can't wait to get mine!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! You're so sweet. :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I'm glad I'm not the only one (side shot days). And thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mal! I just need a good reason to buy it, hahaha.
