So, how's your holiday shopping going? I confess - I'm not done yet. I know, I know, you expected more of me. But between work and kids and various house guests and other family obligations over the past few weekends, I just haven't had the time to take care of business.
This is not to say I haven't done any of my shopping. I'd even venture to say that I've checked off about 2/3 of my list. And really, only some of the much harder ones are left. But this is neither here nor there. Especially since what I want to discuss here is the phenomenon of "one for you, one for me," shopping. Anyone else struggling with this? I will be the first to say, that I am definitely afflicted. Case in point, the Hallowell Cowlneck I sprang for, when I was picking up a couple other gifts for friends...
(Kate wanted to join me. Who am I to say no?)
Sweater: Hallowell Cowlneck
Jeans: AG 'Stilt' Skinny Jeans
Necklace: Oh Hello Friend Pocket-Watch Necklace
Bracelet: (hidden by Kate's head) The Rose Bracelet, Invisible Children
By the way, the major missing accessory for this outfit? A speeder bike. And the Endor Moon. Because seriously, I'm definitely channeling some "Princess Leia fighting on Endor," in this one. ;)
That sweater is BEAUTIFUL! And how cute does Kate look? I love her little pose in the second picture.
ReplyDeleteI have an outfit similar to this that I call my Padme outfit :) Fashionable nerdy minds think alike!
ReplyDeleteLove the whole outfit!

I am far from done for my holiday shopping as well - love the sweater on you!
ReplyDeleteBetween your beauty, Kate's incredible cuteness and that sweater it's an all around win! Also, your hair looks amazing! The bangs and layering around your face really suit you. Happy shopping this next week!
ReplyDeleteOooh! Love the sweater and those boots! And Kate's cute sweater too! Yes, I totally understand, which is why I tried to limit myself shopping mainly online. Shopping in-store becomes more of 3 things for me, and 1 gift for someone else! Much too difficult!

I suffer from the 1 for you and 1 for me shopping too. I have a great Christmas pile going so far for myself. And I'm not finished with my gifts yet either. I still have my mom and one of my sisters left. BTW I'm loving the sweater on you. The whole look is fabulous and your daughter is such a cutie pie. Good luck with the rest of your shopping.
