I don't remember what this cardigan's name is. I just know that I haven't worn it in many moons, so I decided to pull it out for a spin. I considered, briefly, wearing a skirt with it, but, well, I was feeling lazy. A skirt would have required tights because it was chilly the day I wore it (Monday, I think). And it already seemed like a ton of work to put that shirt and the cardigan together.
What? I told you I was feeling lazy.
Jeans: AG Angelina Bootcut Jeans (similar here for non-petites)
Bracelets: Invisible Children, The Rose Bracelet;
Kate's Outfit (obviously, she's not too lazy to put on tights...):
For those of you local to San Diego, or planning a visit, I want to tell you that I had lunch at this amazing little place called The Carnitas Snack Shack. I had the Pork Sandwich, which had fried pork loin, pulled pork, and bacon on it (yes, that was three kinds of pork) along with the most amazing pepperoncini-pickle relish. I about died. How good can a pork sandwich be, you wonder? The answer, my friends, can be found here. (And you should note that it runs along the lines of, "pretty freaking amazing"-good.) For non-pork eaters (I hear you're out there), there were also vegetarian, fish, and beef options, which I hear are also fantastic.
Hope your day is a great one!
Love the fun pop of red on your feet...super cute! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenni!
DeleteI absolutely love that cardigan paired with the shirt. Totally makes me wish I had bought that cardigan.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liz!
DeleteLove, love, love this outfit and it's casual-ness!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was a very comfy, casual outfit. =)
DeleteParted Petals Cardigan! Love how you put Gingham below it, the combo works really well. Jeans are my first love so there's no shame to me in wearing denim over a skirt. Cute outfit!!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's it! You're amazing - I can never remember the names of these things. =) And thanks! I really liked how the gingham worked under the sweater too. For some reason, in my head, skirts are more "blog-worthy," but I love - and really live in - my jeans.
DeleteVery cute outfit! I have to check out the carnitas shack next time I drive down to see my mom, it sounds amazing.
ReplyDeleteBrianna - you should email me the next time you're in San Diego! We'll get Carnitas Snack Shack (or go shopping!) together. =)
DeleteSo adorable! Both of you look lovely! Question Carol....did you have to hem your Angelinas to wear with flats? I just got a pair (LOVE THEM) but I still have to wear them with heels. Do I just have abnormally short legs? Haha. I'm 5"3 and I wear size 27.
ReplyDeleteHi Gina - Thanks for the kind words. No, I didn't have to hem my Angelinas. After washing, they shrank to this length, which was perfect. I'm 5'2" and wear them in a size 26 - surely there can't be that much difference in the length? When did you buy yours? I bought mine in 2010, I think - I hope they haven't changed the measurements on their petite lengths. :(
DeleteCarol, ah....I have yet to wash them. :-) Maybe that's why!!! I just got them on super sale from that 6pm.com website! Less than $100! Whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI feel you about the being lazy part and not wanting to wear a skirt. Sometimes jeans are so much easier. Oh, and carnitas .... drool!!
ReplyDeleteBoth of you, so incredibly adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute as always Carol! I love the cardigan with the red flats.
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit! That cardigan is absolutely adorable. And I love how you paired it with a plaid boy's shirt - very nice touch :)
ReplyDeleteCarol, that cardigan is too cute for words. I love seeing your daughter in your photo. She is so adorable.
ReplyDeleteCute! I need to pull this out of my cupboard again, clearly!
