Casual Everyday (OOTDs)

Late last year, I transitioned from working in an office, to working from home. This has resulted in a number of changes and adjustments for me, but none of them more noticeable in the day-to-day as the fact that on most days, I don't have to get dressed to go to work.

I still make an effort "to get dressed," whether or not I'm getting dressed for clients or for my dining table (which doubles as a "downstairs workstation" during the hours when I'm without a nanny to keep an eye on the kiddos). But there are seriously days when I'm only interested in wearing something easy and comfortable, not necessarily the most creative and cute. On days like that, when (if) I leave my house, I make sure to throw on one fun accessory. Basically, I pretend to have made an effort.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.

Top: Jedidiah Tee

Pants: Hudson Jeans Triangle Pocket Bootcut (yikes, those jeans are big on me. No wonder they're so comfy...)
Shoes: Madewell Leopard Print Skimmers (designer version: here; on a budget: here, and in adorable dots: here)
Scarf: Lulu Scarf, Nordstrom (Purchased in-store, from their junior department, Brass Plum. It's not available online, but similar here, here, and here)

Hope you've all got a great weekend planned! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. oh, the pink wedges! I bet I could get so much work done wearing those! That's right, I am footwear motivated...could get into some leopard print flats too!

It would kill me not to have somewhere to wear stuff to- that's the one downside of my lottery life-plan actually...

    1. Sorry to comment as a reply - something is not working quite right. Anyway-love those shoes! I was in San Francisco yesterday and saw them at Nordstrom and thought of you. I'm so happy for you that you got them. I hope you wear them someplace special with that gorgeous designer (philip lim?) black and white dress you bought last year.
I'm stalking the pink Kate Spade Shelly pumps due in March.
I work from home to and dress casually almost everyday - even if it is in just jeans a tank and cardi. I get nothing done if I'm in sweats, but feel like kind of a dork if I'm overdressed for my home office and perhaps Whole Foods :-)
