A few weeks ago, I got super-lucky. Not Mega-Millions super lucky, but pretty lucky, no less. Sian, of The British Anthropologiest was hosting a giveaway sponsored by Shopbop and amazingly, I won! After several days of careful deliberation, I decided on the Madewell Stucco Stripe Songbird Dress - or the "Madewell Striped Avalon Dress" as it's called on Shopbop.
This was my first experiencing "shopping" with Shopbop, and overall, I have to say that I had no complaints at all. The only "challenge" with Shopbop is that it has so much merchandise to choose from. It's like eating at the Cheesecake Factory, whose menu practically needs multiple volumes. That being said, the check-out was easy, the delivery was quick, and the dress arrived in good condition.
Speaking of the dress, I love it. I think I've worn it at least three times since getting it. (Some of you accurately identified it in my Vince Camuto post a few days back. Also, for those of you who were asking, I got it in a size 0, which fits me very comfortably. The only thing I don't like about this dress is that it wrinkles pretty easily - hence its condition in the photos below).
And I'm not sure what I was doing in this first photo. I can only imagine it was really hot that day? (We did have some very warm weather last week.)
Shoes: Alberto Fermani Slouched Boots (originally purchased from Nordstrom in 2010)
Necklace: Caramelo Necklace
And here, accessorized with a scarf (thanks, Jess!). I know, sometimes I'm very lazy when it comes to changing up the styling. But hey, if it works, it works:
Scarf: Anthropologie Voluminous Scarf (similar here, here, and here; great tutorial on how to make your own at Kristina J's blog here)
Hoping you're having a great week! Thanks for stopping by!
