Connecting the Dots (OOTD + Stella & Dot)

Last week, I was invited by one of our local readers, Clara, who has recently become a Stella & Dot stylist to a "trunk show." I went because 1) I hadn't seen Clara in some time and 2) I was curious. I'd been pinged by people regarding this line before, but for various reasons, I never got any further than browsing the website. As I mentioned to Clara, I'm skittish about ordering jewelry, sight-unseen. Shoes too - which is why it took me so long to finally place a first order with Sole Society (though, I'm glad I did, as you all know I pretty much can't stop wearing these shoes...see below). So, when Clara - who lives about 10 minutes away from me - invited me over to take a look at some Stella & Dot up close and personal, I decided to go.

I've gotta say - I'm glad I did. I'm very impressed by the quality, versatility, and wearability of every piece I saw. And oh - they're all so pretty! So, to help Clara get a running start on her new venture as a Stella & Dot stylist, I'm hosting a trunk show for her here, on the blog. First up, is the Medina Bib Necklace. When I first saw this on the website, my eyes sort of passed right over it. I felt like I'd seen stuff like this before. And then, when I was at Clara's trunk show, same sort of thing. Pretty, but just not as exciting and dramatic as some of the other things I got to see. But I'll tell you something - once I got it home with me, I couldn't seem to stop reaching for it. I've already worn it about three times (though I was too busy on those other days to actually snap my outfit) and I know I'll wear it again. I might actually have to buy this for myself, once it's time to give it back, because it's so easy to wear and seems to goes with everything.

I love that the necklace - like all the other Stella & Dot products I've handled - feels substantial and sturdy but isn't super heavy around my neck. Also, I really adore the attention to detail, like the tiny crystals set in each of the discs, and the hook closure with it's attached charms.

(By the way, can you even believe I took the above photo with an iPhone??? Maybe you can, but I'm not any sort of real photographer, so color me pretty darn impressed.)
