Summers Past (OOTD)

This dress is, quite possibly, the oldest one in my closet. Believe it or not, I graduated from high school wearing this linen number from Ann Taylor.

Dress: Linen Dress, Ann Taylor (similar here, here, here, and here)
Scarf: Anthropologie Voluminous Scarf (similar here and here)

Not much else, in terms of clothing, has survived from those days and when I look at it, I'm really amazed by how well the dress has held up over the years - no discoloration, no holes, no damage. It's a credit to Ann Taylor's quality from that time.

It also may have something to do with the fact that I've worn it less than five times ever. This might be the year that changes.

Here's to having the presence of mind* not to get rid of things, just because we haven't worn them in years.

*Or sheer stubborness. But why quibble over semantics? ^_-

  2. I have so many old items in my closet, it's nice to see I'm not the only one :) The great thing about this dress, other than the buttons, is that it looks as good as new!

  3. It has such sentimental value so you must feel special while wearing it. And high five for still being able to fit into it :)

  5. I'm guilty of keeping all my clothes. I love clothes that can withstand the test of time.
