How About A Tall Glass of Crewlade? (OOTD)

Remember those "indiscretions" spurred by the extra 30% off sale at J. Crew, I mentioned yesterday? Yes. Well. Those indiscretions arrived. And in case you were wondering, yes, sometimes I do buy entire outfits at a time.

Sweater: Tippi in Linen, J. Crew
Skirt: Jardin Skirt, J. Crew
Necklace: J. Crew Bubble Necklace via eBay (other yellow options herehere, and here)
Belt: Braided Leather Belt, J. Crew
Shoe: Jimmy Choo 'Phoenix' Espadrilles (similar herehere, and here)

And Kate J. - the next time these sales occur, I'll be sure to mention them. You know, while they're still actually happening. ^_-

Happy Friday, everyone!

  1. Love te sales! Keep them coming! How does the linen Tippi wear throughout the day? Did you find it stretched?

    1. It did stretch a little. Not too badly, though. Mostly in the sleeve, particularly at the cuff. And yes, keep the sales coming!

  11. Gorgeous outfit! I have a question about the linen tippi: have you tried washing it yet? I just bought it in navy, and I was thinking of handwashing even though it says dry clean only. (I hate the chemicals and expense of dry cleaning.) Are you going to go the dry clean route? Thanks for the advice!

    1. I am so atrociously un-domestic (embarrassing but true) that I don't even know where to start when it comes to washing linen. Though, I did find the following websites that discuss washing linen:

      http://www.ktcampbell.com/domesticity/hand_wash.html

      http://www.ehow.com/how_5160455_wash-linen-clothes.html

Personally, I will be taking mine to the dry cleaner, but I'd love to hear if you decide to try and wash the sweater yourself. Let us know how it turned out!

    2. Thanks, for the links, Carol! I'll let you know how it goes...I've had good luck handwashing lots of my "dry clean only" Anthro and Jcrew so far, so I think I'll try with this one, too. Also, I handwashed that Jason Wu for target striped t-shirt dress (I think you posted a photo with it, too?) and it did shrink a bit, but that's actually good since it was a bit baggy before, and now is a lot more fitted.

      Love this outfit!
